TalentED YYC Talent & Funding Fair

TalentED YYC is a resource platform for local employers interested in working with student talent. Calgary businesses and non-profits from all industries are invited to Alberta’s first fair featuring funders and local post-secondary institution talent representatives.

Drop-in anytime between 1:00-6:00 pm at Platform Calgary to learn about:

  • Top skills being developed at Calgary’s post-secondary institutions and how you can engage student talent to fill skills gaps in your organization

  • Funding and wage subsidies available to help you bring on student talent

  • Hosting work integrated learning opportunities for students (i.e., internship, co-op, practicum, project work, community service learning, field placement)

  • Resources to simplify your student recruitment and onboarding process

  • How TalentED YYC can provide tailored support to help businesses and non-profits explore paid and unpaid opportunities to engage student talent

Mona Pinder

After spending over 15 years in healthcare administration, Mona decided to pursue her passion and enrolled in the SAIT Baking and Pastry Arts program.  Two-years later, Mona had a Certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts to go along with her two Masters degrees.  After a short internship in a Michelin-Starred restaurant in Provence, then developing the dessert menu for a new deli and teaching weekly cooking classes at a local cookware store, Mona started Mona’s Table.
