Phase 2 of the Reopening Plan Takes Effect Today, June 10th. Here’s What You Need To Know

  • Restaurants, pubs, bars, lounges and cafes can offer indoor and outdoor in-person, sit-down service as well as take-away, drive-through and delivery services.

  • Liquor service ends at 11 pm in all licensed establishments.

  • All licensed in-person dining establishments must close to in-person dining by 12 am and remain closed until 4:00 am.

  • For restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars that offer food and/or beverage service to seated patrons, contact information must be collected from at least one member of the dining party.

  • Patrons can attend for in-person dining with up to a maximum of six people per table with no household restrictions on individual tables.

  • Physical distancing restrictions remain in place. Tables or dining parties standing at a bar must be separated by 2 metres or by impermeable barriers.

  • Dining parties, i.e. diners from different tables, cannot interact with each other.

  • Patrons must mask at all times except when sitting at their tables or at their designated spot at a bar.

  • Masks must be worn to go to the washroom, pay, order food, etc.

  • All servers, and front-of-house staff must mask at all times (e.g., serving, clearing or seating people outdoors).

  • Kitchen staff must be masked when not on the line.

  • There are no limits on restaurant capacity.

  • Restaurants, pubs, bars, lounges and cafes cannot offer entertainment onsite, except for VLTs.
