JOB DESCRIPTION: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
SUMMARY:
The Alberta Hospitality Association Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and supervision of the WIL grant. The individual in this role will have financial accountabilities such as managing budgets and overseeing funding. The ED will be the liaison between post-secondary school applicants and AHA members seeking recruitment and will report directly to the board of the Alberta Hospitality Association.

JOB DUTIES:
- Key liaison for the WIL grant for post secondary applicants and aha members
- Responsible for weekly reporting regarding placements, fund allocation,
- Programme progress and status
- Review job postings, manage website content
- Manage placement relations, provide status updates
- Oversee the budgets and activities for the programme
- Association administrator - set weekly meeting agenda, accountability follow-up, board governance participation
- Membership engagement
- Coordinate with the social media management team regarding outlines and content
- Liaison for media requests - direct accordingly amongst the board members
- Maintain existing client relations
- Assist in membership growth
- Lead fundraising efforts when needed
- Prepare and monitor AHA programme calendar as related to the WIL grant
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work independently - remote position
- Proficient with software programmes, excel, word, quickbooks
- Hospitality background preferred
- Experience in managing budgets
- Non-Profit or fundraising experience preferred
ABOUT THE ALBERTA HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATION
Since its inception, the Alberta Hospitality Association has advocated for food and beverage operators who face continuous challenges in their day-to-day operations. Staff shortages and a reluctance to re-enter the workforce have made financial recovery difficult for businesses that wish to rebuild after the constraints of Covid-19. We recognize the immediate importance of connecting employers with potential employees and our association is actively working to ease this pain point.
We are also working to create ongoing engagement with federal, provincial, and municipal governments with the overall goal of eliminating redundancies and laws that hinder the hospitality industry. AHA aims to eliminate red tape and see greater profitability, and long-term vitality in our industry.
ROLE TITLE: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & WIL PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATOR
PAY SCALE: $75, 000.00- $80,000.00
TERMS: 12-MONTH CONTRACT TO BE REVIEWED QUARTERLY
